Before the match, thousands of Dutch fans put on a show in the Reeperbahn district. The fans, nicknamed “Oranges,” dazzled with their colorful outfits and supported their team with songs.

The match at the Hamburg Volkspark Arena started quickly for Poland. Adam Buksa, who plays for Antalyaspor, headed in a goal in the 16th minute, putting Poland ahead 1-0. However, the Dutch did not give up, and with consecutive attacks, they equalized with Gakpo in the 23rd minute. The first half ended with a 1-1 draw.
FORMER BEŞİKTAŞ STAR WEGHORST DETERMINES THE OUTCOME
Both teams started the second half evenly. However, in the 81st minute, former Beşiktaş star Weghorst, who came on as a substitute, added another classic last-minute goal, putting the Netherlands ahead in the 83rd minute. Despite increased Polish attacks, the match ended 2-1 in favor of the Netherlands. The Oranges secured 3 points, making a strong start to the tournament.
